The Defence Research and Development Bureau (DRDB) has kicked off its inaugural Annual Seminar and Exhibition on Scientific Research and Development at the National Defence College Auditorium.
The two-day event, themed “Enhancing Synergy in Research and Development Towards a Robust Military Industrial Complex in Nigeria,” aims to utilize innovative science and technology to strengthen national security and stimulate economic growth.
Prominent attendees include Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Minister of Defence; General CG Musa, Chief of Defence Staff; Major General EA Ndagi, Director General of DRDB; Chief Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology; and Prof. Leo Daniel, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi.
Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha, Director General of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency, underscored the importance of biotechnology in enhancing Nigeria’s military and industrial sectors.
The seminar will wrap up tomorrow, featuring discussions among experts on the future of research and development in the nation.
