The Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology (OFAB), Nigeria Chapter, will host the 8th edition of its prestigious Media Award Ceremony on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

The event, which will take place at the NAF Conference Centre in Kado, Abuja, is set to celebrate outstanding contributions to agricultural biotechnology and biosciences reporting.

The OFAB Media Awards are part of the broader OFAB Africa initiative, designed to recognize and reward journalists and media professionals who have excelled in reporting on agricultural biotechnology.

The awards highlight the role of the media in promoting scientific knowledge and public understanding of agricultural innovations, especially in the context of biotechnology’s potential to improve food security and sustainable agriculture across Africa.

The event is expected to bring together key stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, media practitioners, and leaders from the agricultural and biotechnology sectors.
