AfricaSTI’s tech genius, Godfrey Jonas has been handpicked by the George Brown College, Toronto Ontario to represent the college at one of the biggest tech events in Canada.

Mr Jonas is a Nigerian, founder of the startup company, Owujupe Inc, and is currently running a postgraduate certificate program in Blockchain development at George Brown College.

The Nigerian Tech guru is expected to pitch and showcase his startup at the tech event tagged ‘Collision Conference’ which is expected to be held from 17th to 20th June 2024.

The name  Owujupe originates from the Adun Community in Cross River State in South-Eastern Nigeria and it means ‘Goodness’.

Owujupe is a platform for connectivity among individuals, allowing the pool of resources, and the sharing of knowledge, and to financially act as a support system among people.

It also aims to transform and reshape how people can approach their financial future by building like-minded communities as inspiration is drawn from age-old principles in Nigeria and across the World.

Nigeria’s Minister Of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Chief Uche Nnaji is expected to attend the event in a bid to attract investment, partnership, and participation in the country’s science and technology sector.
